Wide screens, sharp signs
The known issue of the last release is gone: on a screen wider than 16:9 the game frames itself instead of stretching. Tablets get the room they deserve, the browser stops drawing squares, and the phone runs lighter.
Ultra-wide screens
- Past 16:9, the game keeps a centred band of that shape instead of stretching the arena over the whole width
- The sides are no longer empty: they show the painting of the zone you are fighting in, blurred and darkened, as one landscape running behind the game
- They follow you from the Meadow to the Abyss and into the dungeon
Signs, not squares
- In the browser, every « Close » button, learned talent, arrow and the bard's melody showed a square: the game's fonts simply have no such sign, and a browser has nothing to fall back on
- 75 signs replaced by ones the fonts really draw, in both languages
Tablets and foldables
- What the screen shows now follows its width, not the kind of device: a 4:3 tablet held upright gets the wide layout, and its arena grows by a quarter
- Spells sit on two rows from a wide enough screen, which gives the arena about 100 more pixels on an open foldable
- Landscape tablets split the camp pages into columns, like a computer, and the Ascension page and the Settings stop stretching across the whole screen
- No more words cut in half in companion perks or the Divine Tree, and the sub-tab bar no longer runs off a 960-wide screen
- Phones are unchanged, to the pixel
Lighter on the phone
- A leak is fixed: after crossing a dozen zones the game held 191 MB of pictures and kept growing. It now stays around 100 MB, and only keeps the last backgrounds and creatures it drew
Fixes
- The line naming the enemies of a wave was cut at both ends on phones
- The camp's fire covered the names of the companions sitting around it
- The fight report opened as a huge empty window when it had a single line to show
- The red dot on Spells stayed lit for talents of other classes' spells. The page now says when every talent of your own spells is learned
- A lesson card could land off screen, or behind another card, after the screen changed size
On the website
- The Android test APK downloads straight from the site, with its size and the date of the build
- This page: every release, its picture and its own address
- On the home page, the captures open in a viewer, the leaderboards refresh on their own every minute, and a healer casts a spell when you point at it
